Bangladesh's estimated suicide rate has fallen, but mental health care barely exists
WHO estimates Bangladesh's suicide rate fell from 4.8 to 2.8 deaths per 100,000 between 2000 and 2021. Under-reporting is likely, and mental health services reach very few people.
